In December 2019, a novel virus originating in China spread rapidly around the world, alarming the highest authorities, including the World Health Organization (WHO). This led to the emergence of a highly contagious infectious disease called COVID-19, and an unprecedented pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first cases diagnosed in France (2\/10)<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

In France, the first cases were diagnosed at the end of January 2020 and the first deaths caused by this new virus were recorded about twenty days later.<\/span><\/p>\n

The lockdown (3\/10)<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

A nationwide lockdown was imposed on March 17, 2020. Just under two months later, it was lifted, but mask-wearing became mandatory. Authorities, in collaboration with the Pasteur Institute, began considering a vaccination campaign.<\/span><\/p>\n

Several pharmaceutical companies (Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, among others) designed and proposed their vaccines in record time. This then led to numerous questions and concerns.<\/span><\/p>\n

Confirmed adverse effects (5\/10)<\/span><\/p>\n

After millions of vaccines administered and almost five years of perspective, specialists in the medical sector have been able to point out several adverse effects, such as high blood pressure, myocarditis\/pericarditis, allergies or even heavy menstrual bleeding.<\/span><\/p>\n

Serious side effects? (6\/10)<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

To this day, many people, including scientists, disagree with the idea that the Covid vaccine is the cause of various illnesses. However, a study a few months ago demonstrated that the Covid-19 vaccine can cause serious side effects.<\/span><\/p>\n

A study of more than 99 million people (7\/10)<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

The study was conducted by the Global Vaccine Data Network on more than 99 million people. Eight countries participated in this project (Argentina, Australia, Canada, France, Denmark, Finland, New Zealand, and Scotland), and the results were published in the journal\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Vaccine<\/span><\/em>\u00a0.<\/span><\/p>\n

The researchers\u2019 words (8\/10)<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u201cMost of those vaccinated were between 20 and 59 years old, and the largest number of doses were administered in France,\u201d explained the researchers, who specified that the vaccines came from Pfizer, Moderna, and AstraZeneca. The results did not reassure healthcare professionals, much less patients.<\/span><\/p>\n

Guillain-Barr\u00e9 syndrome and venous thrombosis (9\/10<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Researchers observed an increase in cases of Guillain-Barr\u00e9 syndrome, as well as cerebral venous thrombosis, following the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine.<\/span>
Guillain-Barr\u00e9 syndrome is characterized primarily by muscle weakness, while venous thrombosis is the formation of a blood clot in a vein, obstructing proper blood flow. French NBA star Victor Wembanyama suffered from the latter a few months ago, forcing him to end his season.<\/span><\/p>\n

More research is needed (10\/10)<\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, all the vaccines significantly increased the risk of myocarditis and pericarditis (inflammation affecting the myocardium, the muscle responsible for heart contraction and blood circulation).<\/span>
\u201cOther red flags have been identified that require further examination,\u201d the journal states. The researchers emphasize that more studies are needed to understand the link between the vaccine and these side effects.<\/span><\/p>\n
